The BGN variable area flow meter is designed for reliable flow measurement of liquids, gases, and steam under demanding process conditions. Thanks to its robust all-metal construction, the instrument is particularly suitable for industrial applications involving high pressures, elevated temperatures, and harsh operating environments.

The measuring principle is based on the proven variable area technology. The instantaneous flow rate is directly indicated as volumetric or mass flow, ensuring accurate and reproducible measurement across a wide operating range.

Due to its rugged design, the BGN is especially suitable for applications in the chemical and petrochemical industries as well as in plant engineering and process engineering. Its durable construction ensures high operational reliability and long service life, even under severe operating conditions.

The wetted parts are available as standard in stainless steel, Hastelloy, or PTFE-lined designs, allowing the instrument to be used with aggressive and corrosive media. In addition, special materials such as Monel and the highly corrosion-resistant stainless steels 1.4439 / 1.4539 are available for applications requiring enhanced seawater resistance.

For process monitoring and integration into modern automation systems, the BGN can be equipped with various electrical accessories and output signals.
